Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Instructor: Patrick Carey, Hadj Design

This introductory course on greenroof infrastructure design presents many of the tools and techniques needed to meet your greenroof project objectives on schedule, to specification, and within budget. The training will enhance your skills in:

  • Identifying the costs and benefits of green roofs for specific performance goals
  • Identifying a variety of green roof products and understanding the functions and performance criteria of different green roof elements and their relevance to your design intent
  • Understanding the major design principles for a successful project and the causes for error in unsuccessful projects
  • Determining the various professions and competencies required to optimally implement your successful green roof project

A brief history of greenroofs will be covered, and a design exercise will put your new skills to practice.

The fee of $325 includes continental breakfast, box lunch, coffee breaks, workshop binder, and admission to The Oregon Garden.

CEH credits toward certification renewal from the Oregon Landscape Contractor's Board may be available. Stay tuned.
