Floating Islands West, based in California and serving all of California and Oregon, is a licensee of the technology from Floating Island International. They manufacture, design, and install floating islands as part of a full service environmental landscape contracting company called Natural Rock Formations.

Floating Island International, LLC, is a privately owned company based in Montana, and was founded by a group of partners led by inventor Bruce Kania. The company manufactures and sells islands and materials, licenses its technology to subsidiaries, and manages its own research facility.
